We at LUPUSonTOAST aim to educate people suffering from Lupus or if you know someone suffering, we try to spread information on an alternative way of treating Lupus. Our website has all the information in one digital location you will ever need, in making an informed decision on how to treat your Lupus issues naturally.

We break the information up into easily digestible information sections all-natural like: Nutrition, Recipes, Fitness, Lifestyle (mental health etc) and a forum to help Lupus sufferers communicate with each other and get real information from one another first hand.

This website is for everyone, we want to be the first free information website dedicated to dealing with treating Lupus the natural way. Our hope is that we can help give people a second chance and open them up to new concepts allowing you to figure out what works for you and not always being reliant on doctors.

LUPUSonTOAST story began similarly to many of you. My little sister, a few months after her 18th birthday, suddenly became wildly sick and was rushed to the hospital. She was immediately hooked up to life support machines, IV drips, fed a concoction of medication (I couldn’t pronounce).

Her face and body were covered in a rash and she had swollen to nearly double her size, the doctors told us that they did not know what was causing these problems and that if they couldn’t find a cause or solution soon she would die.

They fought to figure out what was wrong with her and we were intensely afraid she wouldn’t make it. The weight of the situation was hanging over us like a truck parked on our backs for six very long weeks. Finally, the doctors had concluded that she had SLE Lupus and proceeded to (as I’m sure lots of you have been in this situation) pump her with steroids, allowing her body to fight itself, to get in remission.

The following years, she was placed on too many different medical treatments to count, with unimaginable visits to the doctor, bouts of time in the emergency room. Treated like a human guinea pig buy doctors who openly admit to not having a way to treat her, trying to work out what works and what doesn’t.

During this period her hair fell out, she fluctuates in weight and would regularly swell to double her size. She had several operations, large and small, each one was as scary as the last. Understandably, her confidence in life was shattered, she suffered bouts of depression and felt like she had become a condition, not a person.

Her Education was near impossible to continue and her career was put on hold, even when she would develop further with a job, she would have an attack, then find that employers are not as understanding and even less knowledgeable about Lupus.

All the while this was going on, I decided to try and help her find an alternative route to treatment, one that didn’t leave all hope on doctors and ravage her body in the process.

On my search for a better knowledge, I found that the world is full of people with Lupus that live normal lives and feel great every day. One by one I would discover story after story about how with a complete change of lifestyle these people would claim to in remission for 20 years plus.

It dawned on me that if this method seems to work miracles for all these people, all over the world then why is this information so hard to find?!!. Since then, I’ve made it my personal mission to educate the world about alternative treatments for Lupus and organize all information into an easily digestible format so everyone can benefit.

I’m not saying I’ve found the cure (that would be irresponsible), what I’m saying is use the information compiled on LUPUSonTOAST to make an educated decision for yourself, take YOUR life back into YOUR hands.

Don’t strive to live, strive to live well!
